Drew Lock Expected To Start Sunday
All signs are pointing towards Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Drew Lock (thumb) coming off Injured Reserve to start in Week 13 against the Chargers after he took first-team repetitions in practice all week, according to a source. He'd be replacing Brandon Allen, who wasn't all that effective while standing in for the injured Joe Flacco. Lock was a second-round pick and has excellent arm strength, but he'll surely have his ups and downs to close out the season after a long layoff. His presence under center will give Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant some more upside, but expect inconsistent production. Lock will merely be a low-end QB2 if he makes his debut this weekend against a solid Chargers Defense.
