5 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (thumb) said on Wednesday that his rehab for a surgically repaired right thumb is going as planned and he hopes to be throwing a football "sooner rather than later." Brees is at least several weeks away from a return, but his owners will be happy to know he's on the right track. Teddy Bridgewater will continue to be a mediocre QB2 in his absence, although the Saints opened things up a bit in the passing game last week against the Buccaneers. Keep Brees stashed everywhere. Luckily, receiver Michael Thomas continues to dominate even with Brees sidelined.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
