New Jersey Devils defenseman Dougie Hamilton produced a game-winning performance against Vegas on Tuesday, lifting the team to a 3-2 victory with two goals. New Jersey was facing a defeat late in the game when Hamilton struck his first goal, and he went on to become the sixth defenseman in NHL history to score overtime goals in consecutive team games. Brent Burns was the last one to do it in 2007. Hamilton's sharpness in front of the net has put him tied for third among defensemen with 13 goals. He's also the seventh-best scorer overall among all blue-liners with 42 points. The 29-year-old has suddenly found his flow after recording only 16 points in the first two months of the season.--Taavi Pailk
