Doug Baldwin OK With Complementary Role
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin has seen his usage plummet in recent weeks, and he's okay with that. Sort of. Baldwin told reporters this week that the team's new (or not-so-new?) dependency on the run game has worked phenomenally well, and so he's okay with it if it helps the team win. That said, the man nicknamed Angry Doug Baldwin didn't appear so okay with the approach earlier in the season when he was obviously perturbed after only being targeted once against the Rams. Unfortunately for Baldwin, the strategy has been working so far, and that means it's likely to continue. He's still the team's most dependable receiver and a likely option on third down, but Seattle's offense appears to have outgrown having to lean on ADB.
