Donovan Mitchell Sustains Ankle Sprain During Friday’s Game

Utah Jazz point/shooting guard Donovan Mitchell (ankle) was forced from Friday's contest versus Indiana due to a right ankle sprain, but there is optimism that he avoided serious long-term injury. Prior to his departure, Mitchell was percolating offensively, dropping 22 points on 7-for-15 shooting overall across 21 minutes. Assuming that he is facing at least a short-term absence, Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles will both become key facets of the team's offense, while Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic should have residual carryover appeal from the shot attempts that will be spread around. Check back for the latest updates on Mitchell as they become available.
