Dolphins Signing Adam Shaheen To Extension
4 years agoThe Miami Dolphins are signing tight end Adam Shaheen to a two-year contract extension on Wednesday that's worth a maximum value of $7.85 million, including $3.2 million fully guaranteed, according to a source. Shaheen's deal was set to expire after the 2020 season. The 26-year-old has done very little since the Bears took him in the second round in 2017. He has only 31 catches for 307 yards and six touchdowns in 33 career games (15 starts) and has caught five of his seven targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns in six games in 2020 in his first season in Miami. Shaheen had his best game in Week 6 against the Jets, catching all three of his targets for 51 yards and a score, but Mike Gesicki is the fantasy relevant tight end for the Dolphins.
