Dodgers Sticking With Kenley Jansen
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the team will stick with closer Kenley Jansen after he blew his seventh save of the season on Wednesday night. "I don't think we're going to back off on the workload. We're going to keep running him out there. ... We're going to need him. We're counting on him," Roberts said. Jansen is 4-3 on the year with a bloated 3.73 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 27 saves and 68 K's in 50 2/3 innings. However, he's been struggling of late, blowing three saves and allowing four earned runs in his last seven innings since Aug. 9. Jansen hasn't been as good as in previous seasons, but he's still closing games for the best team in baseball. Keep running him out there just like the Dodgers will.
