Dodgers Place Gavin Stone On 15-Day Injured List
1 month agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers placed right-hander Gavin Stone (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Friday with right-shoulder inflammation and recalled right-hander Landon Knack and left-hander Justin Wrobleski from the minors in corresponding moves. Right-hander Michael Petersen was also optioned. In his last start last weekend against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, Stone gave up five earned runs on five hits while striking out four in five innings of work. There's a chance that the 25-year-old could miss the rest of the 2024 regular season, and it remains to be seen if he'll be an option for the Dodgers' rotation in the postseason. Knack is making the start for the Blue on Friday at Dodger Stadium against the visiting Cleveland Guardians, with Wrobleski likely to start on Saturday. In his first full season in the majors in 2024, Stone has gone 11-5 with a 3.53 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP and 116 K's in 25 starts.
