Dodgers Bringing In Dominican Shortstop Emil Morales
11 months agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly agreed to a contract with Dominican shortstop Emil Morales, who will be the headliner of their international class this year. Morales has a 6-foot-3 frame that has him rated highly among public evaluators. The Dodgers were in the lower third of the sport in terms of international signing-bonus allotments this year, which is actually an improvement from where they had been in years past due to luxury-tax penalties. Talent evaluators don't think that the 17-year-old Morales will be able to stick up the middle defensively, so he'll eventually move to either third or first base. Morales currently stands at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds and should grow into some nice power given his big frame.
