D.J. Steward Scores Team-High 24 Points In Loss To Dallas

Steward was the team's head honcho offensively in Monday's Summer League matchup against the Mavericks, scoring a team-high 24 points in 25 minutes off the bench in a 111-103 loss. He hit three three-point bombs with five attempts and finished 8-for-16 overall from the field while dishing out a pair of assists and grabbing one rebound. Steward is trying to make the NBA after developing into one of the G League's better three-point shooters. The Duke product hit 40.5 percent of his triples last season with the Stockton Kings, averaging 13.1 points and 4.4 assists. He has shot a sizzling 47.1 percent from deep in five Summer League outings this year, which is sure to impress plenty of people who make the big decision in NBA front offices.
