Dion Lewis, Derrick Henry Expected To Share Backfield
7 years agoTennessee Titans running back Dion Lewis told Bruce Murray and Brady Quinn on SiriusXM Blitz that, "They're going to use both of us," with the other back being Derrick Henry. Lewis also said Tennessee attracted him in free agency because they were going to give him the chance to share the rushing load with Henry. This was the expectation all along when the Titans added Lewis. Henry should be the between-the-tackles plodder and goal-line guy, with Lewis serving in the third-down, pass-catching role. It's a bummer for Henry's ceiling after he took the lion's share of the work late last season, but both running backs can be productive in this run-first offense behind an excellent offensive line.
