Diego Castillo Strikes Out The Side, Earns Fourth Save
3 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Diego Castillo struck out the side over a scoreless inning to earn the save during Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Houston Astros. He entered the ninth inning to protect a three-run lead. The 28-year-old has now notched back-to-back saves over his last two appearances. He's been efficient as of late, tossing eighth consecutive scoreless innings. The right-hander owns a 5.57 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts over 21 innings. Castillo has recently split closing duties with Paul Sewald and is worth rostering in most league formats for fantasy managers searching for saves.
