6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Shelby Miller (elbow) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with right elbow inflammation after he left his start early on Wednesday. Reliever T.J. McFarland was also put on the DL with a neck strain. Pitchers Silvino Bracho and Matt Koch were both called up from the minors. Miller's injury is the most concerning, as he had Tommy John surgery on the same elbow last May. He had made just four starts since returning this year and wasn't effective, allowing 19 earned runs over 15 innings. He's being examined and could be out for an extended period of time. Koch could take Miller's rotation spot after the All-Star break, but he's not much of a fantasy option.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
