Devontae Booker Lands With Giants On Two-Year Deal
4 years agoThe New York Giants signed free-agent running back Devontae Booker to a two-year deal worth $5.5 million on Monday. He'll receive $2 million guaranteed and a $2 million signing bonus with salaries of $1 million in 2021 and $2 million in 2022. Booker can make an extra $250,000 in rushing-yard incentives annually. His salary cap hit in 2021 will be $2.5 million and escalates to $3 million in 2022. The 28-year-old is expected to back up star running back Saquon Barkley after carrying the ball 93 times for 423 yards while also adding 17 catches for 84 yards and three touchdowns with the Raiders last year. Booker will primarily be a pass-catching complement and won't be much more than a deep-league handcuff for those that roster Barkley.
