DeVonta Smith Nabs Seventh Touchdown Of The Year In Week 16
12 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught four of five targets for 79 yards and a touchdown during the team's 33-25 win over the New York Giants. The 25-year-old did most of his damage in the first half, putting the Eagles ahead by two scores in the second quarter with a 36-yard catch and run to the end zone. Teammate A.J. Brown dominated the target share in the second half but ended up with just one more yard than Smith by the end of the game. This is the second week in a row that the former Heisman winner has had just five targets go his way, but Smith remains a locked-in WR2 due to his explosive play-making ability. He draws another favorable matchup next week against the Arizona Cardinals.
