Colorado Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews showed the New York Islanders what they have given up by getting three points against them in Tuesday's 5-3 victory. The 28-year-old rearguard, who was traded by the Islanders for a couple of draft picks in 2020, factored in all of Colorado's first three goals, scoring his 10th goal of the season and handing out two assists. Sitting on 42 points through 43 appearances, Toews is just short of averaging a point per game, and he's carrying a spectacular plus-45 rating for the season, which is the best in the league. His work in 2021-22 also includes 102 shots, 37 hits and 55 blocks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
