Despite His Struggles, Austin Cindric Is A Value Play In DFS This Weekend
5 months agoAustin Cindric will start 38th in Sunday's Brickyard 400 from the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Since winning at St. Louis back on June 2nd, Cindric has yet to finish better than 15th in the six races since. In fact, the Team Penske star has just two top-10 finishes in all of 2024 and is averaging 21.2 for his finish, which ranks 25th among fulltime drivers in the Cup Series. While his struggles throughout the season would typically make the 25-year-old a fade, his starting position changes everything. Given that he is starting from P38, the four-year Cup veteran needs to finish just 21st to return value on his $7,600 DraftKings salary, which he is certainly capable of doing. Considering that he does not have to do much to return value and that he has a special connection to this track, claiming this is the venue that some of his earliest racing memories come from, the No. 2 should be considered a value play in DFS this weekend.
