6 months agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Derek Dietrich went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and a walk in a 4-3 win over the Houston Astros on Tuesday. Dietrich took Houston ace Justin Verlander deep in the first inning, giving him 18 homers on the season. The veteran infielder has been a pleasant surprise for the Reds, having already reached a career-high in homers in just 66 games played. He may see his at-bats cut into when Scooter Gennett returns but it is likely that the Reds find a way to keep his bat in the lineup on a regular basis. For now, fantasy owners can continue to ride the power hitter.--Matt Terelle - RotoBaller
