1 year agoToronto Raptors point guard Dennis Schroder sees himself as a great fit for the team and is excited to link up with head coach Darko Rajakovic, whom he's previously worked with in Oklahoma City. "This is his first year as the head coach. I met him five years ago in OKC, and we became friends," Schroder told Malika Andrews in an appearance on NBA Today. "I liked how he was coaching, myself and the team. He called me right away when he took over, and I definitely said to my agent, 'I want to be there. I want to be a part of that.' I think it's a great fit, to play the national team-type (style). Handle the ball a little bit more, go out and run. ... I think it's a great fit." Schroder is locked into a starter's position in Toronto and looks set for a big year in 2023-24 as he gets to work with a coach who rates him highly.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
