The Nashville Predators have signed winger Denis Gurianov to a one-year, $850,000 contract. The 26-year-old was an unrestricted free agent after Montreal decided to not issue him a qualifying offer. Gurianov had five goals and eight points in 23 games with the Canadiens in 2022-23 following a mid-season move from Dallas. The Stars made him the 12th pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, but Gurianov has struggled to establish himself in the league. He posted only nine points in 43 games with the Stars last season and has totaled 51 goals and 111 points in 280 career games overall. Gurianov's reputation isn't great, but it's a pretty low-risk move by the Predators, and the Russian winger will have a chance to compete for a spot on a scoring line on a team that is looking very thin in the attacking department.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
