Dejounte Murray 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray took a huge leap forward last season by winning a starters berth and he quickly proved himself as one of the most versatile guards in the league. Murray isn't a threat from outside, so he's not a good scorer, but he makes up for it with his enthusiastic play and defensive capabilities. He had multiple games with 10-plus rebounds last season and averaged two steals per game following the All-Star break. The 29th pick of the 2016 NBA Draft ended up getting only 21.5 minutes per game for the whole season, so there's a lot of room for improvement and you could say that he's so far only scratched the surface of what he could be capable of. Being named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team as a 21-year-old is not a bad start to a career.
