David Montgomery Totals Only 50 Yards Against Falcons
4 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery carried the ball 14 times for 45 yards and added two catches for nine yards in the Bears comeback win over the Falcons in Week 3. It was a tale of two halves for Bears and Montgomery, with the latter producing only seven rushing yards on his first 10 carries. But once the Bears switched to Nick Foles at quarterback, the offense came alive. Montgomery was able to provide some excellent runs of 10+ yards to move the chains and give the Bears a chance. With the injury to teammate Tarik Cohen looking like it could be season-ending, Montgomery's usage rate is likely to increase heading into Week 4 against the Colts.
