David Montgomery Stifled In Playoff Loss
4 years agoChicago Bears running back David Montgomery carried the ball 12 times for 31 yards in the Bears 21-9 loss to the Saints in the wild-card round. The talented back came into the game as one of the hottest fantasy players in the NFL, but the Bears offense was thrown off track early. Montgomery had averaged 21 carries a game over his final five regular season games, so the lack of touches will be a question for the coaching staff and the play-calling. The Bears enter the offseason with questions at quarterback, but Montgomery should be a fixture of their offensive game plan next season and will be a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in 2021.
