David Kampf Locked Up By Toronto For Four Years
1 year agoToronto Maple Leafs center David Kampf has inked a four-year extension worth $9.6 million. He is coming off a two-year, $3 million contract and was set to be an unrestricted free agent. The deal means that the Maple Leafs have locked up a solid bottom-six forward with a very affordable $2.4 million cap hit. Kampf produced seven goals and 27 points in 82 games last season while winning 51.5 percent of his faceoffs. The 28-year-old has appeared in 399 regular-season games in total in the NHL, putting up 35 goals and 111 points. Toronto also announced on Wednesday that forward Pontus Holmberg, who had 13 points in 37 games last season, has been signed to a two-year deal worth $1.6 million.
