Darius Slay Still In Concussion Protocol
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said that cornerback Darius Slay (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol. It's never a good sign when a player remains in the concussion protocol late in the week, so Slay should be considered highly questionable to play in Week 15 against the Cardinals. This is notable for Philly's secondary after they had a rough game against the Saints in Week 14 and also lost safety Rodney McLeod (knee) with a torn ACL and cornerback Avonte Maddox (knee) to an injury that will keep him out. Even if Slay clears the protocol and is allowed to play, Philly's defense will be extremely vulnerable against a strong Cardinals offense. Avoid the Eagles D as a fantasy unit. Cardinals wideout DeAndre Hopkins will see a boost to his fantasy value if Slay is ruled out.
