Darius Slay Out For Week 17
12 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay (knee) has been ruled out for a third consecutive game in Week 17 while tending to a knee injury. Slay had arthroscopic knee surgery ahead of Philadelphia's Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks and has avoided injured reserve since he was not expected to need four weeks to recover. During his absence the Eagles have allowed a total of 396 passing yards, though that was against Drew Lock and the combined efforts of Tommy Devito and Tyrod Taylor. Philadelphia's secondary has usually been one of the league's worst in 2023, and they will likely miss Slay's contributions against a stiffer opponent in Kyler Murray (illness) when they take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
