Washington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper left Saturday's 5-2 loss to Calgary in the second period after suffering an upper-body injury in an incident with Tyler Toffoli. The Flames forward hit Kuemper in the head. The 32-year-old was having a good performance before getting hurt, stopping 24 of 26 shots. Things went much worse for Charlie Lindgren, who gave up two goals on nine shots as the Flames pulled away in the third period. It's not currently known if Kuemper is forced to miss any time. His absence would be another bad blow for an injury-riddled team. Lindgren has struggled to match Kuemper's numbers all year and even gives up nearly a goal more per game than the Capitals No. 1. Washington also lost defenseman Martin Fehervary (upper body) on Saturday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
