Darcy Kuemper Dealing With Upper-Body Injury

Washington Capitals goaltender Darcy Kuemper (upper-body) left practice early on Saturday as a result of an upper-body injury, and his status is unclear for Sunday's game against the Wild. Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette mentioned that it is unknown if Kuemper's injury occurred during the practice or in Friday's loss against the Blues, where the goaltender allowed four goals on 21 shots. Kuemper has a record of 20-22-5 to go along with a 2.75 goals against average and .911 save percentage in his first season with the Capitals. In the case that he is forced to miss some time with the injury, Capitals backup goaltender Charlie Lindgren would be a streaming option in deeper fantasy formats.
