Danny Duffy Shuts Down Twins

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy continued his confounding season on Monday by tossing six shutout innings against Minnesota. This is Duffy's third quality start in his last five outings, but the other two starts featured 12 earned runs between them. In fact, dating back to April 6, Duffy has yet to allow two or three earned runs in a start. Either he's held his opponents to less than two earned runs (nine starts) or given up four or more (eight starts). Obviously, there's still plenty of potential, but owners should simply prepare for the fact that they'll either get a version of Duffy that deals or gets demolished. There is no in-between.
