Daniel Suarez Struggling to Find Speed at Michigan
4 months agoEven though Michigan International Speedway has been a good track for Daniel Suarez in the Next Gen era, the No. 99 Trackhouse Racing team has struggled to find speed for this weekend's FireKeepers Casino 400, as Daniel was just 31st-fastest in practice on Saturday. That was even more surprising considering his teammate, Ross Chastain, was the fastest in that practice session. It's certainly possible that the No. 99 team figures things out on race day and Suarez finds speed once the green flag waves, but heading into the event, it's looking like he may struggle once the race gets going. A good thing for Suarez this weekend is that he starts up in 12th thanks to the starting lineup being set by the metric after qualifying was rained out on Saturday. However, due to that high starting position, Suarez's seeming lack of speed, and his higher-than-expected salary of $7,500 on DraftKings, you should probably look elsewhere when building your DFS lineups for Michigan.
