Daniel Suarez Inks Contract Extension
2 years agoTrackhouse Racing and Daniel Suarez have agreed to a multi-year deal that will keep Suarez in the No. 99 Chevrolet. Suarez has found a home at Trackhouse since joining them for their first season in 2021. Finally at age 31, Suarez found victory lane in his first Cup Series victory at Sonoma Raceway. He became the first Mexican-born racer to win in NASCAR's top series and race in the playoffs. Justin Marks, the owner of Trackhouse, said, "Daniel has fulfilled every expectation, and we look forward to the future. The best is yet to come." Suarez emphasized this at the Daytona 500 media day, saying, "And not only does Trackhouse believe in me, I believe in Trackhouse since Day 1, and we're building something great here." Terms of the new contract were not disclosed, but Suarez said that he wanted to have a new deal in place before the season started.
