D'Angelo Russell Makes Lakers History With Three-Point Barrage
2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell had a sublime first half against Golden State on Saturday, becoming the first player in franchise history with 20 points and five made three-pointers before halftime of a playoff game. However, Russell ended up going scoreless after the break. Luckily for the Lakers, the team didn't really need Russell's production in the second half either, as the game turned into a blowout and their point guard got the entire fourth quarter off. Russell finished with 21 points in 29 minutes, shooting 5-for-8 from deep and 8-for-13 overall from the field. He also picked up three rebounds, five assists and one steal with five turnovers. The 27-year-old has a habit of going quiet on some nights, but Russell has enjoyed a solid postseason overall, averaging 16.7 points with 3.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists.
