Dane Myers Set to Return on Friday
Dane Myers (oblique) is set to be activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday before the series opener against the visiting San Francisco Giants, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman. Myers will rejoin the big-league roster after landing on the IL on May 12 with a strained oblique. The 29-year-old only played in one minor-league rehab game for Triple-A Jacksonville and will now return to regular duties in center field for Miami. Fantasy managers will be hoping that his oblique injury won't interrupt what has been a strong season for the former sixth-rounder of the Detroit Tigers in 2017 out of Rice before his injury. In 83 at-bats prior to landing on the shelf, Myers was slashing .337/.375/.482 with an .857 OPS, three home runs, 14 RBI, 12 runs and seven stolen bases.
