Calgary Flames goaltender Daniel Vladar has played stellar in the role of backup to Jacob Markstrom. Coming into Tuesday night, he was 5-0-1 on the season, including three straight road wins. Calgary even built him a 3-1 lead early in the second period. Then it fell apart, as San Jose rallied for three goals in an eight-minute span. Erik Karlsson, Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl all scored, turning Calgary's lead into a 4-3 deficit. Ultimately, Hertl completed the hat trick on an empty-net goal in the third period to ice the 5-3 defeat. Despite just stopping 22 of 26 shots, Vladar is still 5-1-1 on the season with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
