New Jersey Devils defenseman Damon Severson scored the shootout clincher in the 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night. It was an up and down game for the blueliner as he played almost 23 minutes. He saw 3:47 of power-play time where Severson mounted a couple of scoring chances. The Devils' defenseman had four blocked shots but oddly failed to deliver any hits on Saturday. Also, he took another minor and had a glaring giveaway that led to San Jose's second goal.
