In one of the few surprises of the early portion of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Alabama guard Tyler Booker at No. 12 overall. The Cowboys were widely believed to be in the market for a wide receiver to play next CeeDee Lamb, but instead chose to the take the first guard off the board. Booker is a massive man at 6-foot-5 and 321 pounds, and proved to be a complete interior lineman during his time at Alabama. For a team that really struggled in the run game in 2024, the 'Bama product is a Day One starter who should make the Cowboys' line better. Some certainly will feel this was a reach, but after losing Zack Martin to retirement, it was clearly a position the Cowboys didn't want to wait to address.--Nick Piotrowicz
