Cowboys Officially Release Ezekiel Elliott
Ezekiel Elliott officially parted ways on Wednesday and he will now be a free agent, according to a source. It was reported on Wednesday morning that the move was expected, and now it's official after the two sides couldn't come to an agreement on a contract restructure. It's not exactly a surprise after the 27-year-old looked far less explosive the last two years while being outshined by backfield mate Tony Pollard. In his seven years with Dallas, Elliott led the league in rushing twice (2016 and 2018) and had four 1,000-yard rushing seasons. He should attract interest on the open market as a short-yardage/goal-line back but will be extremely touchdown-dependent wherever he lands in fantasy.
