Corey Seager Says Skipper Was Pivotal In Signing
3 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager recently stated that a big incentive to sign with his new team this offseason was the team's manager, Chris Woodward. Speaking on MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM, Seager said, "Woody was a huge part of my decision. Knowing how he is, knowing how he approaches the game, knowing how I am and how I approach the game. The stars aligned." We all also know that the massive 10-year, $325 million deal didn't hurt either. Seager slashed .306/.394/.521 with 16 home runs, 57 RBI and 54 runs over 95 games last year. He's a great shortstop to target after the players in the top few tiers at the position are off the board.
