Cole Kmet Could Have A Big Year
1 year agoThe Athletic's Adam Jahns predicts that Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet will finish this year second on the team in receptions, likely behind top wide receiver DJ Moore. Robert Tonyan was brought to Chicago to help the passing game as well, with veteran Marcedes Lewis added to help the running game with his blocking. Kmet was just signed to a big contract extension and is expected to be a featured player in the passing attack in 2023. The 24-year-old could lose some valuable red-zone targets to Tonyan in two-tight end sets, but he's still going to be targeted heavily by quarterback Justin Fields in his fourth NFL season. Kmet will be a tight end streamer in fantasy after putting up 50 receptions for 544 yards and a career-high seven touchdowns in 17 starts in 2022.
