Cody Ware Near Back Of The Field Again Sunday
5 months agoCody Ware will begin the Brickyard 400 from the 36th position on Sunday afternoon. Rick Ware Racing fields two cars and they are 35th and 36th respectively in this field. Ware's best lap was 50.903 seconds which was nearly 1.5 seconds off the time of Tyler Reddick. Worse, his practice lap average came in at 51.666 seconds. The five-lap interval crept up to 51.673 seconds. At that point, Ware did not even try longer runs for fear the Ford car may have more issues. It seemed the engine could not produce the horsepower coming off the turns and the loss of speed was easy to see. Ware expects not to be much of a DFS factor on Sunday.
