In a race where Toyota badly struggled, Christopher Bell was the only bright spot for the manufacturer in last night's Iowa race. Bell rallied to a fourth-place finish while all three of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammates spent most of the race outside the top 15. He got trapped a lap down when he pitted from the lead on a green flag pit cycle immediately before a caution came out for Daniel Hemric hitting the wall, but he made a methodical drive, especially at the end, and on the final green-flag stint of the race he was only .04 seconds slower than the winner, Ryan Blaney, despite having to drive up through traffic. Bell ranked seventh in speed in the race while no other Toyota was better than 14th. Although Bell's performance has been inconsistent at times this year, he continues to be a strong clutch performer.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
