Christopher Bell expected to contend at Las Vegas and the Joe Gibbs Racing driver did just that. The No. 20 Toyota rode near the front up with Bubba Wallace. That got him into the overtime scramble. However, Bell never could get to the Hendrick cars as he never got past Wallace. In the end, Bell's late-run speed just was not enough.
