Christian Wood Has A Big Game As Starter
2 years agoDallas Mavericks forward/center Christian Wood went for a big line in his second start of the season, recording 26 points and 14 rebounds with two assists, two steals and two blocks in a 100-99 overtime loss against the Cavaliers. He dropped five three-point bombs with 13 attempts and shot 9-for-18 overall from the field in 43 minutes of action. Wood received the start due to Dwight Powell (thigh) dropping out of the lineup, and he also benefited from the absences of Luka Doncic (quadriceps) and Spencer Dinwiddie (knee). That's now back-to-back impressive efforts from Wood, who has posted consecutive double-doubles for the first time in his Mavericks career while scoring 58 points across the last two games.
