Chris Thompson Expected To Play In Week 13
Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (toe) is expected to play in Week 13 against the Panthers. Thompson has been out since Week 6 with turf toe. His return will throw another wrench in a backfield that has already been rotating Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson. Thompson is mostly a pass-catcher on third downs, but he nevertheless will eat into the upside for both Guice and Peterson. There wasn't much upside to begin with for those two in a weak offense led by rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Thompson won't be an attractive RB3/flex, even in PPR leagues, since he could have his snaps limited in his return. This backfield is a situation to avoid.
