Chris Kirk might not win a major championship anytime soon, but the 35-year-old turned in a major-worthy performance in last week's Sony Open. Playing on a major-medical exemption, Kirk needed at least a three-way share of third place to keep his PGA Tour Card. The former Georgia Bulldog put together a clutch back-nine stretch that concluded with a birdie on the 72nd hole to secure a runner-up finish and keep his playing privileges. After going through such an emotional roller coaster, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a letdown out of Kirk in the upcoming American Express, an event in which he's missed the cut in his last two starts. --Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
