Chris Godwin Extension A Priority For Bucs
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that an extension for wide receiver Chris Godwin is "high" on the team's offseason priority list. Godwin missed the final two games of the season with a hamstring injury, but he still managed to live up to his breakout tag from the preseason, catching a career-high 86 passes (121 targets) for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns. Even as the No. 2 behind Mike Evans, Godwin will continue to have WR1 upside in an offense under Arians that loves to stretch the field. Quarterback Jameis Winston is expected to be back for at least one more season, too, so Godwin will be in high demand early in fantasy drafts.
