Chris Bassitt Exits After Being Hit In Head By Line Drive
Chris Bassitt (head) was removed from the game by cart after being struck in the head by a line drive, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times. In the bottom of the second inning, White Sox outfielder Brian Goodwin hit a line drive back up the middle that caught Bassitt on the head. Van Schouwen reports Bassitt fell to his knees and remained on the ground in pain before being carted off. This is breaking news, and there will be updates on his condition later in the evening.
