Chris Archer Injures Shoulder Tuesday

Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chris Archer (shoulder) left his start after just one inning on Tuesday against the Nationals with right shoulder discomfort. It's just more bad news for Archer after a disappointing season that has seen him post a career-high 5.19 ERA, and his walk rate is up from 7.7 percent in 2018 to over 10 percent in his first full year in Pittsburgh. Stay tuned for more updates on the severity of Archer's shoulder injury, but with just a little over a month left in the season, we might've seen his last start in 2019.
