Chase Elliott Believes He’s Got A Good Shot To Win Coca-Cola 600
2 years agoDespite missing six races due to injury this season, Chase Elliott hasn't really missed a step on the track. His average finish of 11.9 this year ranks 2nd-best behind his teammate, Alex Bowman's, 10.3 average finish. With that being said, Elliott hasn't led much this year (just 24 laps total, most of which came at Talladega) even though it wouldn't surprise anybody if this #9 team ended up in victory lane soon. That could come this weekend at Charlotte. Over the last five races at this track, Elliott has posted one win and four top 4 finishes while also leading 217 total laps over that span. When asked about this weekend's upcoming Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte, Chase stated, "Winning the Coca-Cola 600 is certainly a box I'd like to check and we've come close once or twice. I think we have as good a shot as anyone this weekend." Chase will have a good spot to start with this weekend, as he will line up from the 6th-place starting position.
