Chase Edmonds 2020 Outlook: Still Plenty of Possible Upside
5 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds took a hit to his value when the Cardinals franchise tagged (and expressed an interest in a long-term contract with) Kenyan Drake. Edmonds will return to a backup/handcuff role, but he's just one Drake injury away from possible RB1 numbers. The Cardinals added Eno Benjamin in the seventh round and he'll probably get some snaps too, but Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury said he would "like to have three" running backs in the game plan during the regular season. It seems like all three of Drake, Edmonds, and Benjamin will have roles, but Edmonds would be the one to take over most of Drake's work if the starter were to go down.
